Ecotels was created with the idea of sustainability and veganism as a part of travel. There are few other places where you can easily find vegan or sustainable only hotels, especially a booking system that gives back. Not only do we donate 5% of our profits to sustainable organisations and movements to see more change in the world, but Ecotels plans on expanding to become an all-encompassing travel booking platform of the future. Book accommodation, journeys, find restaurants, book tours, and share experiences and tips with like-minded travellers in a unique forum. All of this and more is coming to Ecotels!
Currently, the Ecotels booking system provides you with an easy to use, enjoyable search platform to find hotels and train journeys. You can search for your exact wishes, whether you want a sustainable hotel, a vegan only hotel, or something with vegan and vegetarian options. Once you've found a hotel, take a look through the stunning gallery to fall in love, read the unique hotel desciption to get a feel for the place, and finally, hit book. You'll then be redirected to a trustworthy booking vendor, like booking.com, to complete your booking securely with all the protection you need for your trip.
There are many great reasons why you should start using Ecotels to book your next trips! Firstly, our platform is easy to use, and great for finding specifically vegan, vegetarian, and sustainable hotels - something that most standard vendors do not offer. Secondly, we donate 5% of our profits to sustainable and vegan organisations and movements, to help promote real change in the world and make it a better place that's healthier for longer. Finally, we're always working on improvements. Whether it's increasing how much we can donate, increasing the services that you can use, or helping to connect like minded eco-conscious travellers. We want to change the travel industry for the better.
Currently, all bookings that you make via Ecotels will be fulfilled on a 3rd party's website. For example, hotels on booking.com and trains on Omio. At the moment, this is the best way for us to guarantee that your purchases are safe, secure, and easy to manage. We're working on adding protections and features to our website that will one day allow you to book directly through Ecotels, cutting out other vendors and helping everyone else involved to get a better deal. However, it's a long process and we feel that for now, your bookings are in safer hands with long existing travel partners.
As hotel bookings are currently carried out via a separate website, you'll be asked to pay for the hotel there. Many vendors give you various payment options, including online payments, payment at the hotel, or instalments. Simply check-out on the booking site that we direct you to, and you'll be shown the options available to you to pay securely.
As train bookings are currently carried out via a separate website, you'll be asked to pay for your journey there. You'll be given the option to pay online securely via a range of methods. Simply check-out on the train booking site that we direct you to, and you'll be shown the options available to you to pay securely.
