Bio-Hotel Schlossgut Oberambach is surrounded by 50ha of woods and meadows in the foothills of the Bavarian Alps with its own access to the lake – a great sustainable escape to nature.

Guests can enjoy a range of vegan and vegetarian options at the completely organic restaurant. In order to be more environmentally friendly, Schlossgut Oberambach source food from the local region seasonally.

Remaining sustainable and environmentally friendly is at the heart of their philosophy and to do so, Schlossgut Oberambach participate in a range of practices such as planting fields specifically for bees to live in, promoting bee population growth, sourcing only organic food, and servicing rooms only upon request – saving water, energy, and reducing use of cleaning materials.

All 38 rooms are furnished Mediterranean-style – light and airy – and have been renovated along ecological guidelines: unsealed parquet flooring, mains disconnection relays, shielded cables, and an allergy-friendly heating system. All electricity and heating derives from renewable resources.

Guests can make use of the onsite amenities to enjoy their stay, such as the swimming pool, spa, hot bath, bar and restaurant.

For lovers of the outdoors, there is lots of surrounding nature including forests and lakes. There is also a wide variety of sports: golf, sailing, surfing, Nordic Walking, riding, cross-country skiing or biking using one of the hotel’s bicycles.
